A leak test that turned into a whole house, back to the frame.
Plenty of Soley's jobs start small. Bailey called for a simple shower leak test on a newly bought home, and it grew from there. Here's how Bailey put it:

Termite and rot damage
When the damage is under the floor, the floor comes up.
Termites and water don't stay where you can see them. The fix is to open it up, cut out what's gone, put new timber in and close it back up properly.

A thermal camera shows where water is travelling before anything gets pulled apart, so the repair goes where the problem actually is.

Not every job is a house. These are custom timber bunks built into a caravan interior, curves and all. The same care goes into wardrobes, laundries, shelving and handrails at home.

Soley's Carpentry & Maintenance is owner-operated from Medowie by Shawn Soley, a fully qualified carpenter, with his wife Nadia. You might remember it as Soley's Handyman & Maintenance. These days it takes on renovations and the bigger carpentry jobs as well as the odd jobs around the house.
